FOOD from its inception has been networking with government, local, regional, national and international NGOs for implementing sustainable social development programmes and sharing its experience with partner organisations, regional and national NGOs as well as Asian NGOs. FOOD is backed by number of National and International Universities, social development Institutions and Appropriate technology Practitioners.

IL&FS - FOOD has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited, (IL&FS), promoted by Public sector Financial Institutions and Banks of India including UTI, Central Bank of India and HDFC among others, with an objective of implementing socially oriented projects in the Infrastructure sector. FOOD India and IL&FS share a common objective to develop and implement project(s) to utilize municipal solid waste being generated by Municipalities for producing and marketing organic manure thus clear space for future dumping. The social objective of this MOU is to develop solutions for disposal of MSW through appropriate technologies such as, design site layout, design and establish plant and machinery for composting, marketing of produce etc.

Give2Asia - FOOD in partnership with Give2Asia is constructing integrated housing complexes for those affected by the the tsunami. The complex adopts a modular design with 22 houses, a community hall, a balvadi, a playground, a sanitary complex, solar lighting and 2 shops for establishing micro-enterprise.

Charities Aid Foundation India - FOOD is partnering with Charities Aid Foundation India and Give2Asia to establish chilling units that are operated and maintained by women self help groups. The project is identifying women self help groups and providing them with chilling containers that can be used by the small fishermen to store their catch once they return back to shore. This enables the fishermen to find a better price for their catch by approaching outside markets without fear of the fish getting spoilt.

infoDev (World Bank) - The inter-city marketing network of women entrepreneurs, implemented in partnership with infoDev, established a closed group communication network for community based women organizations to promote inter-city direct sales of products made by artisans and skilled workers.

IDRC/Pan Asia Networking - With the objective of sharing of experiences and establishing networking among NGOs, FOOD established its electronic network in the year 1993. We are partnering with IDRC under its Pan Asia Networking program for extending our networking services to NGOs in remote areas. We have also partnered with IDRC in implementing e-commerce for rural artisans.

APPROTECH Asia - FOOD is a member of Approtech Asia, an Asian alliance for NGOs networking with its headquarters in Philippines. FOOD is also a resource organization for Asian NGOs in the field of Appropriate Technology, electronic networking, housing and allied activities. FOOD is one of the participants in the Asian NGO consultative meeting on water and sanitation organized by the international secretariat for water by PROWWESS - UNDP/WORLDBANK Water and Sanitation and Approtech Asia in Manila, Philippines.

TNUDP/WorldBank - The Government of Tamilnadu's Integrated Sanitation Program (ISP) implemented by TNUDP-II with the assistance of World Bank to benefit those living below the poverty line in the urban areas. The program is being implemented in urban slums in Tamilnadu. The program targets the urban poor, defined as those living below the poverty line. Realizing the multiple benefits and effects of participatory approach in the implementation of sanitation programs, TNUDP is partnering with FOOD INDIA at the state-level to guide and assist in the implementation of the program and also to take initiative in popularizing and advocating participatory approach at the ULB level.

CAPART, Ministry of Rural development, Government of India - As a spin off of our research and action research activities in e-commerce, CAPART Ministry of Rural development Govt of India is partnering with us in establishing an exclusive e-commerce site for marketing rural products within the country and outside.

FOOD is also assisting NGOs in Govt of Sri Lanka and Govt of Mangolia in implementing Housing environmental sanitation and electronic networking programs in their respective countries. We have been working in partnership with UNICEF and Municipal administration, District administration in implementing poverty alleviation program and Sanitation program in municipalities town panchayats, 200 rural schools in three districts.
